How viable is a single Caribbean currency

The fifth article "How viable is a single Caribbean currency?" by Al
Edwards examines the opinions of a single Caribbean currency. Some say
effectiveness of the Caribbean Single Market and Economy (CSML) lies
implementation of a Caribbean currency. Committee
Caricom Ministers of Finance has recommended a monetary union with
common currency to replace existing national currencies administered
the Caribbean Monetary Authority (CMA). The article states that ultimately
national macroeconomic assessments by some members are still in progress,
receipt of these will provide the basis for Caricom Committee
launching the single currency.
